When I entered the Great Room on 7/F at W Hotel for Swarovski‘s Fall/Winter 2012/13 Collection Presentation, I was stunned by the mysterious ambiance under the soft, dark lighting and the Baroque-style décor. The displays of rock and Baroque with rebellious black hue made a big contrary to the brand’s Spring/Summer presentation where everything was pink and brisk.
This coming reason, Swarovski‘s “Kingdom of Jewels” collection seems to bring out the individualistic and rebellious charm of a modern woman, and transports us to an opulent baroque world derived from minimalism and modernity.
Here’s the show:
Roses, roses, roses.
The display stand – love the big crystal there.
Swarovski is adding more golden hues to their jewellery design.
Never forget that pink is every woman’s must-have.
Feel more rebelliousness with star-shaped jewellery.
Lots of photographers from leading newspapers and magazines in Hong Kong.
A peep of the wall of the framed jewellery displays.
The models shows how red outfit can make a great contrast with a black crystal necklace.
The crystal clutch is my favorite!
Make yourself an extravagant statement with this big necklace.
Me with a glass of champagne. How could I ever forget this?
Lovely butterflies in colorful crystals.
The combination of gem and crystal of the necklace.
The pink and silver color scheme of the necklace. Love, love, love!
The flower-shaped ring is sitting at the little couch gracefully.
Here’s a closer look of the framed jewellery display on the wall.
More views of the little couches.
End of show.
Special guest, the elegant Vivian Chow.
Me trying on a pair of stone earrings.
I enjoyed the mysterious and sensual atmosphere of the show and the jewellery itself. For me, nothing beats the classic black. Anything in black can go with other things easily and effortlessly. The minimalism and modernity embodied in this collection are what every woman should pursue, and I’m trying to pursue that.
Happy Friday to you all!
