If you’re checking out Zara stores recently, have you noticed some staff are wearing the “Zara TalentTour” tags like the following? This turns out to be very educational and inspiring.
Zara Talent Tour is the brand’s worldwide talent recruitment campaign to acquire talented people to join the fashion house. The event is held at The Space as a Pop Up Recruitment Center where a series of 3 talks by fashion influencers are conducted to share the speakers’ love of fashion. Attendees who are interested in being a part of the Zara team can talk to the Zara staff and share their interest for joining Zara. For fashion bloggers like me, we can share insights to other style icons and influenzers and just to enjoy small talks of fashion.
The 3 talks features different fashion influencers:
1st talk (Jul 25) – Faye Tsui, fashion stylist
2nd talk (Aug 1) – Cindiddy and Melinda Wang, style bloggers (moderated by Priscilla I’anson)
3rd talk (Aug 6th) – Jacqueline Chong, model and fashion boutique owner
The events are inspiring as you get to know the ups and downs of people working in or blogging about fashion. The job as a stylist is never an easy one. Like what Faye Tsui said, “you have to know the taste and personality of your client well before you pick up the right garments for them”. It’s a continuous process of engaging your love of fashion to people you work with.
Style bloggers Cinddy and Melinda Wang advise fellow bloggers to focus on one important thing when running a fashion blog – the contents. They add that fashion blogging should be a means to show your passion in fashion, instead of an excuse to get invited to events and receive freebies (as a lot of bloggers do, to be honest). Engaging your audience through social media is a useful way to maintain audience loyalty too, as the audience feel closer to talk to you and comment on your updates than just looking at your blog posts.
The third and last talk is by Jacqueline Chong, model and boutique owner. I’m looking forward to it!
