Little black dress might be the ultimate wardrobe essential, but sometimes twisting it to the opposite hue in the palette would create interesting silhouettes too. It’s also refreshing to wear something white after seeing quite a lot of black dresses hanging on the bodies of young ladies rocking around town during the weekends.
I tried on this white cocktail dress with tube neck and a flare hi-low hem, tailored made and designed by a friend of mine (so yep, you can’t find it at the stores).
Pairing it with a black studded knuckle-duster clutch and cobalt blue satin heels is a deliberate attempt to make the outfit more fun and less “cocktail-like”.
I could imagine this little white cocktail dress is good for a wide variety of occasions, from balls, art exhibition openings to a white party. A bonus point is, you will surely get noticed just because of how flowy the dress swings when you walk slowly around.
I recall a friend once told me, “Don’t wear black at night, no one’s going to notice you. Wear white!” She’s got a point.
