Every woman loves silk scarves. The only struggle is that you might not know how to tie it, especially how to tie it differently than the usual simple neck wrap.
On top of the previous featured story on how to tie a weave knot, this time I would love to show you a video (in Cantonese only) I did for Apple Daily (see also the full article here) that demonstrates three different ways to tie a silk scarf, including:
- Tie knot (with thin scarf from Ted Baker)
This knot goes well with the 70s trend everyone loves at the moment. It’s easy, handsome and gives a free-spirit vibe to your outfit.
- Belt knot (with squared scarf from Cléo)
When you don’t feel like tying your scarf around the neck, do it around the waist might be a good option as it gives you the desired shape plus something for everyone to spot on. Don’t be scared to use a bright-color scarf for that!
- Turn a scarf into vest coat (with thin rectangle scarf from Armani Collezioni)
This style works well with summer and fall outfits and produces an unique fashion piece. Try styling your scarf like this to get some wows!
